The Attio connector gives DeskMate access to:
  • People — read, create, update
  • Companies — read, create, update
  • Deals (and other custom objects) — read, create, update
  • Notes — read, create
  • Tasks — read, create
  • Lists and views — read
Setup is one-click OAuth — no Attio developer setup required.

Prerequisites

  • An active Attio workspace
  • A user account on that workspace with Admin or Member role (read-only users can connect, but write operations will fail)

Connect

  1. In DeskMate, open Workspace → Connectors
  2. Click Connect on the Attio tile
  3. Sign in to Attio
  4. Pick the workspace to connect (Attio supports multi-workspace users)
  5. Click Authorize
  6. You’re redirected back to DeskMate — the tile turns green

Verify it’s working

Try this in DeskMate chat:
find the company "Acme" in our CRM
You should see a result within a few seconds, with deal status and people associated.

Scopes requested

DeskMate requests Attio’s standard record_permission scope — read and write access to records across all standard objects (people, companies, deals) plus your custom objects.

Custom objects

If your Attio workspace has custom objects (e.g. “Properties”, “Contracts”), DeskMate will see them automatically. You can ask DeskMate about them by name:
list all properties in the "Sydney" segment

The approval rail

Write operations to Attio — creating people, updating deal stages, adding notes — go through DeskMate’s approval rail by default. You can override on a per-skill basis in Workspace → Skills → Settings if a skill is well-trusted and runs frequently (e.g. “log every inbound email as a note on the matching person”).

Troubleshooting

”Forbidden” when creating records

The connected Attio user has only read-only access. In Attio → Settings → Members, upgrade their role to Member or Admin.

Records appear in DeskMate but not in Attio UI

Make sure DeskMate is connected to the right Attio workspace. If you have multiple, click Disconnect and reconnect, then pick the correct one at the Attio consent screen.

Custom object not visible

DeskMate caches the list of objects per workspace for ~10 minutes. If you just created a custom object in Attio, wait a few minutes or click Disconnect → Connect to force a refresh.

Disconnecting

In Workspace → Connectors, click Disconnect. To revoke at the Attio side, go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations and remove DeskMate.
